OUR APPROACH
OUR APPROACH

No Fluff. No Judgment. Just Real Progress.

Therapy here meets you where you are — real, relatable, and anchored in meaningful change. Our work integrates EMDR with holistic, mind-body approaches to support deep, lasting healing, at a pace that respects your nervous system and your lived experience.

Real Conversation, Real Progress

Our style is anything but clinical or cold. We blend grounded guidance, humor, and practical insight to create therapy that feels like a safe, empowering space — not just another appointment on your calendar.

With advanced training, LGBTQIA+ affirming and culturally-attuned values, and active leadership in the mental health field, we offer more than credentials — we offer a thoughtful partnership in your healing.

You don't need to know what kind of therapy you need before reaching out. We listen, understand what you're experiencing, and choose the approaches that will support you best. We adjust as your needs change.

How We Tailor Therapy

If you'd like to learn more, here are the approaches we may draw on — together or on their own, depending on what you need.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain and body process distressing memories that have become stuck. Rather than reliving the past in detail, EMDR works with your nervous system to complete the processing it couldn't finish at the time. Grounded in EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant-in-Training training, this is the foundation of how we work with trauma. Learn more about EMDR Therapy.

IFS-Informed Therapy / Parts Work

Parts-oriented therapy recognizes that we all carry different inner parts — protective, wounded, adaptive, and wise. These parts develop for good reasons, often in response to early experiences, trauma, or chronic responsibility. Rather than trying to eliminate symptoms, this approach focuses on understanding and building compassionate relationships with the parts of you that have been working hard to keep you safe.

This work is especially supportive if you feel conflicted, self-critical, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns you understand intellectually but can't shift. Our approach is IFS-informed and trauma-attuned, helping clients move toward greater self-trust, clarity, and internal cooperation — without forcing change or bypassing complexity.

Relational Therapy

Relational therapy centers the healing power of connection — both within therapy and in your broader relationships. Patterns formed in early relationships often shape how we relate to others, ourselves, and our emotions. Therapy becomes a place to notice, understand, and gently shift those patterns in real time.

This work is collaborative and deeply attuned. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a meaningful part of healing — offering consistency, respect, and honest reflection, especially if you value depth, authenticity, and thoughtful engagement.

Feminist & Empowerment Therapy

Emotional distress does not happen in a vacuum. Gender roles, power dynamics, cultural expectations, and systemic pressures all shape how we experience ourselves and our lives. This approach centers your lived experience and honors the ways you've adapted, coped, and survived — often in environments that asked you to carry more than was fair or sustainable.

Rather than pathologizing understandable responses to stress, this work focuses on reclaiming agency, voice, and self-definition. Therapy becomes a space to examine internalized expectations, reconnect with your values, and make choices that feel more aligned and authentic — without pressure to perform, minimize, or explain yourself.

Somatic & Mind-Body Healing

Somatic and mind-body therapy recognizes that healing involves the whole person — not just thoughts, but the body, nervous system, and lived experience. Stress, trauma, and emotional patterns often show up physically through tension, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection. This approach brings gentle awareness to those signals as a pathway toward regulation and ease.

Holistic care here does not mean alternative or prescriptive — it means thoughtful attention to how emotional, physical, relational, and environmental factors interact. Somatic awareness is integrated gradually and respectfully, always at your pace.

How This Actually Works in Session

Sessions are collaborative and intentionally paced — leaving room for reflection, honesty, and the occasional moment of lightness that reminds us we are human, even while doing serious work.

"Trust Her Process" means absolute respect for her innate wisdom, her pacing, her nervous system, and her timeline. "Her" is not us — "Her" is you.
